There are signs that your spouse is cheating that can often go undetected if you’re not keeping your eyes open. One glaring example is when things are being hidden from you. As a husband or wife, everyone has their own standards of privacy and the amount of privacy they allow the other person.

When Two Hearts Join as One, You Are Also Bound Financially

It’s part of that exclusive social contract that you make with another human being in order to consider yourselves to be one. In some marriages, everything is shared equally. These are probably the more healthy marriages. A checkbook, credit cards, property, or anything that is worth anything becomes property of the family.

In other marriages, finances and property are kept separate; each spouse is not expected to pool their resources to create a single fund. But, what happens when there is a death in the family, or when some rich uncle or parent dies and leaves an inheritance to your spouse?

The first thing that should happen is that the probate info should be shared information. Truly, a marriage that doesn’t demand that of a spouse is more of a pseudo marriage or some perversion of the institution.

Court and Probate Records Speak for Themselves

f your spouse refuses to reveal the extent of his or her inheritance, that in itself is tantamount to a betrayal.  Once your spouse is willing to sell out the sanctity of your marriage for financial gain, there should be very little question in your mind that he or she is capable of cheating on you.

Of course, there are exceptions to this rule. Perhaps a family heirloom had been passed down, that would be worth a huge sum of money, but for sentimental reasons could never be sold.

Anything of that personal nature should fall under the banner of trusting your spouse to keep you informed on the issues you should be informed about. But, if following the death of a relative, your spouse becomes very cagey about finances or to the contrary exhibits a drastic change in lifestyle, you might need to ask about the probate info.

Would He Really Try to Keep a Probate Record Secret?

You should be on your guard for potential infidelity. Inheritance is legally protected in divorce proceedings and a large enough inheritance may give your spouse all the financial cover he or she needs to act in a  manner that will destroy your marriage. Conduct a search for court records and probate info today to uncover the truth about his past.
