So you think your guy’s cheating on you? Before you confront him with your suspicion, gather evidence first. Remember: the evidence will not lie. Here are several physical checkups you can do to find out if you’re being cheated on.
The body electric
Certain physical signs show up in the body as marks. The most obvious of course, are the hickeys left in areas where you didn’t put them. You might also find other things, such as fingernail scratches on the back, arms, thighs or legs. His underwear may also be stained.
Another physical sign that a guy is cheating is his lack of energy. If he’s been physically involved with another woman, he’ll go home to you tired and uninterested. He might also bring home certain mementos of his tryst such as hairs or fibers – things for which he has no explanations for.
The scent of things to come
Another physical checkup you should perform is the smell test. Men having affairs are always in a hurry. If he’s been with the other woman, he will go home to you without taking a shower.
Check his clothes for any lingering perfume or cologne scents that are unexplained or for which he has a lame excuse for (’Some guy sprayed me with woman’s perfume when I passed by the shop, honey’). Massage oil stains will also show on his clothes, along with make-up.
Other physical signs he’s cheating will be exhibited in his behavior. He will be either negligent of your relationship or too attentive. He will also be easily agitated, troubled or even distant. He will suddenly begin giving too much attention on the way he looks and change his wardrobe for no reason.
He will also be easily angered and act defensive against the slightest insinuations about his infidelity. He will also be secretive and will resent your curiosity about certain things in his life he used to be open about.
The evidence doesn’t lie…
If the guy is cheating, there are certain things that he will need close by – a pager or a cellphone. If you can get a hold of his phone bills, you’ll find strange numbers that appear repeatedly and when you call, it’s a woman on the other end of the line whom you don’t know and who is neither his friend nor co-worker. If you press for answers, the woman can’t give you any.
You’ll also find receipts from restaurants on nights when he said he will be having beers with his buddies and from lingerie and jewelry shops paying for women’s underwear and jewelry you, his mother or sister never received.
