11 Jun 2007I’ve been ranting about how awful it is to cheat on a spouse and about how to catch a cheating spouse. It’s been all about that for the past few posts. But now, let’s try to look at things in a slightly different angle. By doing so, we could perhaps try to tailor-fit strategies to better catch your cheating spouse.
I came across an interesting article which takes a look at who cheats more in a relationship; men or women? I can sense that the question raises a lot of eyebrows. I can only apologize for bringing this up but I’m sure a lot of people are aware of the survey by Cosmopolitan which shows cheating women are more in numbers than cheating men. I tried so hard to be very objective in reading the survey. But don’t get me wrong. The survey did not, in any way, diminish my regard for women. I still admire the qualities women possess. I still personally think that they are the stronger sex, emotionally, that is.
According to the poll by Cosmo 59 percent of women who participated in the online poll admitted that they have cheated on a partner. Cosmo interviewed relationship therapist Bonnie Eaker Weil, Ph. D., to find out why women tend to cheat more than men. Dr. Weil gave the following clarified the issues by providing these reasons:
We can’t discount the fact, though, that there are other polls out there that will show us otherwise. So now, gentlemen, we know who cheats more (at least based on these facts) and we know why women cheat. Girls who are taken for granted are more likely to cheat than those who get all the attention that they need. Women who are under a lot of stress need a dude to be with to cast all her worries away. Are you the man your wife can lean on whenever she’s all burned out? Do you give her all the attention that she needs? Given all this, be the man that your wife craves for and don’t let her look for someone else, making you look like loser.
