Catch Your Cheating Spouse: White Lies are True Lies

Marriage has love and truth as its ultimate base or foundation. The day spouses faced the altar, they exchanged vows, not lies, to love each other through thick and thin, ‘till death do them part. Nowhere in any marriage ceremony would one think that each spouse would one day strive to catch his or her cheating spouse which would be a very unfortunate turn out.

White lies it seems have been a way for many people to cover or clean up their acts. A lot of people have gotten so used to it to justify any wrongful deed that they think it is perfectly OK to tell one. If only people were aware that the main word there is the word “lie”, they’d think otherwise. Among cheating spouses, unfortunately, it has become a habit, a hard habit to break, in fact. It seems they’ve forgotten all about the love and truthfulness that they would uphold “through thick and thin”.

People should remember that as much as a rose by any other name is still a rose, a lie by any other color, black or white, is still a lie and there are tons of reasons why one shouldn’t hide any truth even in the whitest of lies. If a cheating spouse would blame his or her financial woes to something else when it was all due to his affair and the affair would have to surface inevitably then the spouse is in for an even bigger trouble.

How would you feel if your spouse told you that he would be tied up at the office for a couple of hours more so you shouldn’t wait up finding out later on that he was, all along, just on a date with someone else? Call it a white lie but it still sounds like any other lie to me. Don’t you agree?
